What was the dominant technical aspect of this painting . . . the edges. 

(I used a lot of soft edges in this piece to give the water a feeling of motion.

As a result the inside of the well feels like it's reverberating.)

What element of the composition did I go after . . . the back ground. 

Yes it's true . . . I like to push the water spray.
