What was the dominant technical aspect of this painting . . . the textures.
(I like the contrast of the rough foliage to the smooth water.
In this painting, I believe I had done my most accurate foliage rendering.
Usually I go looser with it.)
What element of the composition did I go after . . . the foreground foliage.
Yes it's true . . . this painting took a while to finish,
and I wasn’t sure it was going to work until it was done.
